On 5th September 2024, Osnovna škola Petra Preradovića hosted theyr first Multiplier Event "Climate change through the eyes of pupils".
This session had Irina Kozličić as main speeker and took place at the Osnovna škola Petra Preradovića, in Croatia.
The lecturer presented work done by her pupils based on the Globe storybook :
*Discoveries at Willow Creek*. In the story itself, students record the changes they observe, using scientific methods to investigate what has occurred at a creek.
This storybook is part of the Elementary GLOBE series, designed to introduce K-4 students to Earth system science (ESS). Through stories like *Discoveries at Willow Creek*, young learners are engaged with topics like air quality, climate, clouds, water, seasons, and soils. Each story serves as an instructional unit that sparks curiosity about ESS, offering hands-on learning activities to deepen understanding.
The teachers were presented with scientific data recorded by students and encouraged to participate in citizen science.
