4th LTTA in Zadar, Croatia

The Petar Preradovic Primary School in Zadar is organizing a five-day international teachers’ meeting focusing on climate change. The school team welcomed 35 colleagues from Turkey, Portugal, Sweden and Belgium. This event is part of the Erasmus+ project called Climate Change and STEM Education in the Classrooms.

The assembled educators will have the opportunity, through various workshops, to discuss relevant topics in the context of the umbrella theme, among other things, sustainable development and microplastic pollution.

The conference opened with a performance by the children’s choir from Petar Preradović Primary School, after which the participants were welcomed by Ante Barać, the school’s principal. All participants gained experience and developed their competence in climate change course scenario creation studies. 

Guided by the principles of unity, equality, friendship and cooperation, the Erasmus+ program embodies the spirit of the European Union in the field of education. I’m glad that the focus this term is on preserving nature and the environment and involving students in discussions on the important topic of climate change. I hope that all of us together, through lifestyle changes, knowledge sharing and education, can contribute to the preservation of our planet, said Director Barać.
